As you begin an exciting journey to plan your wedding, designing your wedding cake should be an enjoyable process. I offer a personalised service specialising in luxury buttercream cake designs. Whether you are looking for something romantic or classic, modern or fun, I am dedicated to working closely with you to create a wedding cake which captures your style and celebrates your occasion.
The first step to creating your wedding cake following an enquiry is setting up an initial telephone consultation for me to learn more about your wedding. At Ginger & Cacao, our style is very much influenced by the beauty of nature and the concept of creating edible art. Yet with every wedding we work closely together to take inspiration from your theme, colour palette, season and venue, to the wedding dress, groom’s attire, floral arrangements and decorations when designing your cake because it is unique and special to you.
During your initial consultation, we will also discuss key details such as the wedding or reception date, number of guests for guidance on servings and price points. Thereafter, you will receive a follow up email summarising our discussion with a guide for next steps to creating your wedding cake.

At Ginger & Cacao, all wedding cakes are especially made-to-order for each couple and because each design is unique, I can only provide guide prices for illustration and budgeting purposes. All guide prices shown are based on round cakes of approximately 5-6 inches tall with the following combinations: a 4 inch and a 6 inch for two tiers, and the addition of an 8 inch for three tiers. Tall (approx. 7-8 inches) and double barrel (approx.10-12 inches) cakes are also available.
The final cost for a wedding cake is quoted according to the complexity of the style and design, the number and combination of tiers, ingredients as well as the craftsmanship involved.
